There are three main ways to begin a tutoring session with a tutor:
- An Instant Session
- An Ahead of Time Booking (Scheduled)
- A Multi Tutor Booking
An Instant Session allows you to open the Skooli classroom immediately with a tutor who is currently online. A green dot on a tutor's profile picture shows that they are online. Click the Start Now button to send through your request for an instant session.
An Ahead of Time Booking (also known as scheduled) allows you to schedule a tutoring session in advance. Choose a day and time within a tutor's listed availability from their calendar, then submit your request. Your selected tutor will be notified and either be able to confirm the session or suggest another time to you. You can monitor the status of your request from the Schedule tab within your dashboard.
A Multi Tutor Booking is a quick and convenient way to get the attention of tutors who may not be currently online, but with whom you'd like to start a session with. Search for the subject you need help with from the search bar, filter for grade level, then click the Send Request to Multiple Tutors button at the top of the page. You can then select the checkboxes for tutors you would like to receive your tutoring request.
